Mesa 3 moving to Windows 10 IoT Enterprise

30 Jun 2022

26 October 2022 Update: The Windows 10 IoT Enterprise license begins around serial number 338818. If the unit was produced between 18–31 October 2022, it could be licensed as either Pro or IoT. To find out which license your device has, go to Check Product Status.

This is a notice that Microsoft has set a cutoff date for manufacturers where they can no longer sell devices with Windows 10 Professional OS licenses installed.

Due to Microsoft's hardware restrictions of Windows 11 Professional, Juniper Systems cannot provide it as the operating system for the Mesa 3 Windows device. Juniper Systems has identified Windows 10 IoT Enterprise LTSC 2021 as an alternative operating system that will provide customers with the same features as Windows 10 Professional (Windows 10 IoT LTSC Enterprise 2021 is equivalent to the 21H2 release of Windows 10 Professional).

Juniper Systems is offering a testing period for Windows 10 IoT Enterprise.

Testing

You can request to test Mesa 3 Windows 10 IoT Enterprise OS by submitting a unit on an RMA. You will need to send Juniper Systems the Mesa 3 Windows unit that you plan to use for testing and validation. Juniper Systems will load the Windows 10 IoT Enterprise OS and return it.

By receiving a test OS, you agree to provide bug feedback via email and fill out a 3–5-minute survey on your testing experience. Please fill out the questionnaire by 15 August 2022. If you identify a bug in your testing, please notify us as soon as possible by emailing bug details to iotfeedback@csicloud.onmicrosoft.com

It is expected that you will notice no difference in the new operating system as it will be implemented to be identical to Windows 10 Professional and all notable Windows system and universal apps will be included.
