Attaching the Rotating Hand Strap

The Alta Rotating Hand Strap fastens securely to your hand and allows you to easily rotate the orientation of the tablet while the hand strap remains fastened to your hand. When field work is done, an angled stand built into the hand strap lets you display Alta in landscape orientation on a desk or other flat surface.

Parts included in the kit:

  • Round rotation mechanism

  • Hand strap base

  • Velcro® hand strap

Assemble the Hand Strap

To assemble the Rotating Hand Strap:

  1. Remove four blue release liners from the adhesive strips on the back of the round rotation mechanism.

  2. Line up the rotation mechanism within the four indentations on the hand strap base. Press the rotation mechanism firmly against the base.

    Remove the adhesive liners. Line up with the rotation mechanism grooves.

  3. Orient the hand strap with the Velcro facing up. Thread the hand strap through one of the loops on the rotation mechanism.

  4. Thread the hand strap through the loop on the opposite side of the rotation mechanism.

  5. Fold over the edges of the hand strap to secure it in place.

Attach the Hand Strap to Alta

The Rotating Hand Strap snaps securely to Alta

  1. Place the Rotating Hand Strap on a flat surface with two hand strap clips on the sides and the EMR stylus clip closest to you.

  2. Orient the tablet with the two USB-C ports closest to you.

  3. Line up the tablet with the hand strap, placing the hand strap between the over-molded bumpers. The two nubs on the left clip will fit into the notches on the sides of the connection pins. The nub on the right clip will fit into the notch on the opposite side of the tablet.

  4. Set the left side of the table into the hand strap. The nubs should fit into the notches on the tablet. Then, press the right side of the tablet into the hand strap.

    Clip the tablet into the hand strap.

  5. The tablet should feel secure in the Rotating Hand Strap.

Use the Rotating Hand Strap

To use the Rotating Hand Strap:

  1. Undo the Velcro edges of the hand strap.

  2. Place your hand under the Velcro hand strap with your palm against the rotating mechanism.

  3. Securely fasten the Velcro.

  4. Use your other hand to rotate the tablet to the desired orientation.
