Mesa 3 CAN Bus Expansion now available
The Mesa 3 CAN Bus expansion is available for development. Contact sales@junipersys.com for details. For a brief overview, this expansion includes:

USB 2.0 communication interface to Mesa 3 motherboard

Philips (NXP) SJA1000 stand-alone CAN controller compatible with CAN 2.0B protocol

11-bit message IDs

29-bit message IDs
-
Standard baud rate of 250 Kb/sec
The driver software supports:

Access to many, but not all, functions and features of the SJA1000 CAN bus controller.

Proprietary agriculture/automotive (ISO11783) API message compatibility (not full compliance).
The CAN Bus wire connector in the image below is included on the Mesa 3 with the CAN Bus expansion. To interface with the connector, a new cable with a mating connector will need to be created.

Note: The +12V_SENSOR is provided, but not required, for applications requiring a 12-volt auxiliary power source up to 175 mA.
