Set Factory Defaults on Allegro 3 and Archer 3

17 Sep 2019

Occasionally, Android AOSP may start behaving in an unexpected manner. A factory reset will put the device back to out-of-the-box settings. This will wipe any data on the device. To reset your Allegro 3 or Archer 3, follow the steps below.

  1. Open Settings and scroll down to select Backup & Reset.

  2. Tap Factory data reset.

  3. Tap Reset Tablet at the bottom of the screen.

  4. Enter your device PIN if requested.

  5. Select Erase Everything.

Leave the device plugged in while the reset process completes. Shut down the device when the start screen appears.

If you cannot enter the system settings, use the following method on your Allegro 3 or Archer 3:

Allegro 3

1. Power down the device (hold power 10–15 seconds).

2. Hold ctrl+alt+del and press power. Continue holding ctrl+alt+del until you get a screen that says “No Command.”

3. Briefly hold power and press the blue function key+right (volume up) and you should enter a recovery menu.

4. Use volume up/down (blue+left/blue+right) to navigate to “wipe data/factory reset” and press power to accept.

5. Select Yes using the volume keys and power button.

6. When it is finished, the device will say “Data Wipe Complete” and you can press power once more to reboot.
