Mesa 2 stuck during boot at UEFI Shell

18 Jun 2019

Please email support@junipersys.com with details of your device such as operating system version. Reports so far seem to indicate that this issue is limited to Build 1803 of Microsoft Windows 10 Pro when performing some Windows Update, though could potentially happen in any OS build since it is a fairly rare firmware level issue.

At the UEFI Shell command prompt, you should be able to attach a USB keyboard (may then need to reset) for typing “exit” and then pressing Enter. This usually recovers the operating system.

Or you can hold the Shift key on the keyboard while performing a Restart to get to an alternative Recovery Menu that provides options such as to boot into Safe Mode or to “Reset this PC” (set factory defaults).
