Juniper Systems, Inc and OnPOZ Precision Positioning launched today the new ScoutPak GPS especially designed for the forestry market at the Society of American Foresters National Convention (SAF) in Portland, Oregon. New Archer Features

The ultra-rugged Archer now is configurable in 16 different languages and features up to 512 MB of internal data storage. The case is made of sturdy, lightweight magnesium and features an easy-to-grip over-molding, available in high-visibility orange or subdued gray. The new Archer Power Dock lets you synchronize with a desktop PC via USB and charge the Archer battery at the same time. Non-incendive Archer For Use in Hazardous Conditions

An Archer Field PC model is now FM Approved Class I Div 2 certified for use in hazardous conditions. The non-incendive Archer can be used safely where explosive gases or liquids may be present -- refineries, chemical plants, gas or oil pipelines, compressor and pump stations, oil field production facilities, and other sites.

New Archer Windows Mobile 5.0 Operating System Available as of July 30, 2007

Release 2.1.1 of the Microsoft Windows Mobile 5.0 operating system for the Archer Field PC provides many enhancements, including language provisioning and internal storage FLASH memory up to 512 MB.
