Built-in Bluetooth has disappeared

If the Bluetooth icon or Today screen item has disappeared from the Field PC with built-in Bluetooth, please try the solutions described below.

 

Reset the System (warm boot)

 

To reset the software on the Field PC, press and hold the Power Button (On/Off key) for 5-7 seconds until the screen flashes off. Wait a few seconds for the screen to flash back on and the software to finish resetting.

 

Restore System or Hard Reset

 

To reset the Field PC (including the built-in Bluetooth module), press and hold the Power Button (On/Off Key) for 15-20 seconds. If the Power Button menu appears on the Archer or the "Warm Reset Detected" screen appears on the Allegro, continue to hold the Power Button until the reset occurs automatically.

 

Remove All Power

Re-Enable using Status Utility

 

A utility is provided for the Archer and newer Field PC models which allows the built-in Bluetooth to be disabled and enabled. You could try enabling the built-in Bluetooth using this utility, which is available at:

Set to Factory Defaults

 

If you have previously saved or backed up the system of the Field PC, you can try restoring the system to the previously saved or backed up state. For additional information about this solution, please visit our website at:

If you have not previously saved or backed up the system of the Field PC, or you are not sure what state the Field PC was in when it was previously saved or backed up, you can set the Field PC to a factory default state.

Bluetooth Module Hardware Repair
