A 1D/2D barcode scanner or an RFID reader attachment can be added to the back of the device. Attachments pins on the back of the device allow for quick attachment and usage.

The CT8X2 is available on Juniper Systems' online store, through one of Juniper Systems' resellers, or via a member of Juniper Systems' sales team.

The lithium-ion battery in the CT8X2 runs for 8 hours on a single charge. Swap out a drained battery for a new battery for an additional 8 hours of power.

The CT8X2 is ideal for mobile data collection that requires a tough-as-nails device. Juniper Systems' Cedar products are used in a variety of industries including wildlife management, GIS mapping, forensic mapping, and utility inspection.

The CT8X2 delivers data accurate to within 1 meter in open skies and 5 meters under a dense tree canopy. If your use case requires greater accuracy, consider the external Geode Sub-meter GPS Receiver.

Both the CP3 and the CT8 belong to Juniper Systems' Cedar line of products. The CP3 is the latest Cedar rugged smartphone and the CT8 is the latest Cedar rugged tablet.

Both the Mesa 3 and CT8X2 are extremely well designed rugged tablets; however, there are many differences between the two devices. The CT8X2 is an entry-level rugged device. The Mesa 3 is professional-quality industry device used around the globe.

The Cedar CT8X2 is not certified to work with the Verizon network. The global 4G LTE cell modem works with most worldwide carriers including AT&T (data only) and T-Mobile.

The CT8X2 does not include a 3.5 mm headphone port. However, the device is compatible with wireless headphones or headphone adapters, which can be purchased online.

To program the F1/F2 buttons on the CT8X2, navigate to Settings>System>Gestures>F1/F2 buttons, and select the program or function you want the keys to trigger. The Button Mapper App on the Google Play Store can also be used to program the buttons.
